Does the Jonas Brothers on stage with Stevie Wonder seem fundamentally evil to anyone else?

You know, I don't go out of my way to listen to Jonas Brothers, but every time I happen upon them playing live, they do a fine job. Good for them.

Also, OMG RADIOHEAD WAS TEH AWESUM.

I don't usually watch the Grammys but I've been pleasantly entertained this time, much more so than in previous years.

I liked the part where Stevie sang something, and then *insert random Jonas brother here* tried to sing the next part, and just failed.

Didn't see the grammys, but man do I love that userpic.

I can't think back to a single awards show where there wasn't some kind of insulting pairing like that: Pop music icon + flavor of the month, together! That way, people who hate music ("Who's Stevie Wonder? I hear he's OLD!") have a reason to tune in and get advertised to. Everyone gets exposure and a paycheck, and the only flaw with the system is that music dies a little.

I've come to see it as the price anyone pays for being a classic: to be trotted out regularly in order to prop up the new kids. Nothing you can do about it except to not stare directly at the stage.

I was kind of underwhelmed by that. The Jonas Brothers might be okay when they're older; the one with the straight hair did a tolerable attempt at Classic R&B Voice considering he's too young to growl. :) But right now, they are not fit to share a stage with Stevie Wonder.
